Our Work Today

RAK Sanctuary offers rescue and shelter for dogs through RAK Paws and provides people in crisis with essential assistance and resources through RAK People.

Show kindness today so it can be shared with others tomorrow.

RAK Paws plans to break ground in mid-2026 on a rescue/sanctuary for abandoned dogs and cats. The need for such shelters in the area is overwhelming, and our services will include taking in and rehabilitating injured domestic animals and helping them find new, loving homes.

RAK People assists a number of individuals with food, shelter, transportation, and other basic needs.

  • In the greater Missoula, Montana area, close to our home base, we help keep destitute individuals housed while they face immediate crises. We conduct due diligence on all recipients to ensure legitimacy.

    • Single mothers fleeing domestic violence situations needing a safe place to stay or groceries for a few days

    • Abandoned elderly living in their cars or in hotels, with their SSI checks going to pay for their hotel rooms

    • Homeless individuals who want to stay clean and shy away from shelters where addiction habits go unchecked

    • Other low-income individuals needing short-term transportation to look for new jobs or keep their jobs

  • Internationally, we assist several refugees in the EU who are trying to start new lives in their new countries. We assist with basic needs, including food, shelter, and medical expenses for them and their families..
